Terms and conditions QMUL Online
Please read these conditions carefully as they set out the terms and conditions that apply to your payment of tuition fees for your course. It is important that you make sure that you have read and understood all of these conditions as you will be deemed to have accepted these conditions when you make a payment to Queen Mary Online.
Queen Mary Online is the trading name of Queen Mary Digital Limited, which is a subsidiary of Cambridge Education Group Limited and registered in England under company number 10212307, Registered Office: Kett House, Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JH, United Kingdom.
You may not transfer or assign any or all of your rights or obligations under any Contract.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, all other provisions shall remain unaffected.
Contracts may be concluded in the English language only and that no public filing requirements apply.
2 Acceptance Fee
To accept your offer you will be required to pay a £200 acceptance fee which is offset against your overall tuition fee.
This is non-refundable should you decide not to take up your place on the course.
The acceptance fee must be received within two weeks of the date at the top of your offer letter.
3 First payment of tuition fees
The first payment of your tuition fees can be paid at any point from receipt of your offer letter but MUST be received one week before the course starts.
If your tuition fees are not received by this date, you may not be able to start your course and your place may be offered to someone else.
You can opt to pay your fees in full prior to starting the course or in payment instalments.
A discount will be offered to students paying full fees in advance.
The instalment options will correspond with each block of tuition in your course.

4 Subsequent payment of tuition fees
If you have opted to pay in instalments, each subsequent payment instalment must be received no later than one week prior to starting your next block of study.
If no payment has been received by this date, you will be unable to access your next block of study on Canvas.
If no payment has been received two weeks after you were due to start your next study block, you will be unable to register for that study block and your student record will be marked as ‘suspended’.
If no payment has been received by the end of the study block and no notification has been received from you, you will be withdrawn from the course.
5 Payment Options
You can pay your fees in your local currency (using Flywire) or Pounds Sterling.
Payments can be made:
By Credit or Debit card
By WorldPay's PaybyLink service

6 What’s included, what’s not?
Payment of your tuition fee will include:
All academic tuition
Access to bespoke course content and resources
Access to student services
Your tuition fee will NOT include:
Any other fees, including but not limited to: extension fees, graduation fees, or any travel or accommodation costs for study visit components of your course (if any).
Any additional fees for repeat study, resits or graduation, or any other fees, shall be at a level set by the University.
7 Discounts & Scholarships
Students who are alumni of Queen Mary University London will be eligible for a 10% discount on tuition fees.

8 Refund Policy
Students have the right to cancel their contact and be refunded up to 14 days after the date initial enrolment has been completed ("the Cancellation Period").
If you wish to cancel after 14 days following initial enrolment, we may at our discretion refund a proportion of the fees paid.
If, at any point, you display threatening, abusive or dangerous behaviour towards us, your tutors, fellow students or any of our staff or affiliated individuals, we reserve the right to eject you from the course without refunding any fees paid.
9 Payment of refunds
We aim to process refunds within 3 weeks of your request. Please note at busy periods this may take longer.
All refunds will be calculated in Pounds Sterling. No refund for any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations, or offer compensation for any bank or other charges incurred shall be made.
Where payment of tuition fees was split between more than one payee, any refund due will be made in proportion to the original split.
All refunds will be paid to the original payee.
In the event of a student's sponsor or loan provider failing to make payment in respect of the tuition fees, the student will be held personally liable for the payment.
Any reference in these terms to liability of the student shall also infer liability on the parents, guardian or sponsor of the student and such liability is joint and several.
11 Data protection
Queen Mary Digital Limited warrants that, to the extent it processes any Personal Data relating to or provided by you:
it will comply with its obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998;
it has in place appropriate technical and organisational security measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of Personal Data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, Personal Data.
12 Variation of Conditions
Queen Mary Digital Limited may, by written notice, vary these terms and conditions as may be necessary to comply with any law, regulations or amendment thereof, of the Government of Great Britain.
Queen Mary Digital Limited additionally reserves the right, upon giving one term’s written notice of such change to all affected students, parents, guardians and sponsors, to make an addition, amendment or alteration to these conditions as is deemed necessary by Queen Mary Digital Limited.
